Look at this window.
There is a glaring issue with it. It is missing the maximize, minimize or whateverize the window should have. Meaning that the only way I can get rid of it is to hide it.
I don’t like “hiding” things. Minimize should be available for this type of window.
Ok. Enough venting.
I am traveling this week. No where exotic.
Just back to PA for a few days for work. It is nice to be back for a little while but I do miss home.
I’m going to a place I’ve never been to before this evening. I may be able to grab some photos and if so, I’ll post them here.

This happened on Sunday near me…
Multiple people were injured at Spooky Nook Sports on Sunday afternoon after a sudden disorderly flight of players and spectators from the building caused several people to be trampled, according to Diane Garber, a spokesperson with the East Hempfield Township Police Department.
Emergency units, including numerous firefighters and at least a dozen medic units, were called to the sports complex at 75 Champ Blvd. in East Hempfield Township at 2:26 p.m., a supervisor with Lancaster County-Wide Communications said. Garber said officers were initially dispatched to the sports complex for a report of shots fired, but there was no evidence of a handgun being fired, and no gunshot injuries were reported.
No one even knows what happened to make everyone run but police are fairly certain it was not a gun.
Run. Panic. Scream. That is what we do now.

I am the king of nothing in particular and I have spoken.
I am riding back and forth to work again on the bike. I absolutely love it.
While riding home this afternoon after it had been raining on and off throughout the day, I couldn’t help but notice how much the outside smelled. Bad.
It smelled like old socks mixed in with a little chicken shit with a side of hairy ass thrown in just in case you still have a sense of smell when it is all over.
Granted. That is not a professional opinion. I’m sure science types would say “math, math, big words, science, and suck it,” or something along those lines.
It still stinks outside. Maybe we should call the cleaning lady.
That is all I’m saying.
When you reach the age of 50 or thereabouts, you begin to look on the world with different eyes.
The one thing I have seen recently is just how much young people make really bad decisions.
At 50, your decisions are based on a lot of things but are mostly free of emotions. You take things a bit less seriously and you also realize that not everything that everyone does is about you.
It is easy to see the bad decisions that people make everyday by just opening up the newspaper and reading it. The criminal section is literally mind blowing.
The problem with some of these bad decisions is that they can’t be undone. You can’t take back your irrational behavior. People don’t unsee the things you’ve said and done.
Take a moment to think before you speak. Think before you act. Think beyond the moment. I know it can be difficult but life isn’t always about the single move in front of you. It can be about the several moves that are ahead of you that you can’t yet see.
Help your heart get out of the way so your head can see the path ahead.
Ok. I have to give the soapbox back now.
Perhaps, I should relabel this post as “Why Don’t Most Men Care?”
What am I talking about?
I’m talking about men who sit by while their daughters pose nude for magazines, pictures, or whatever. Think about all of the magazines with nude women in them that you have ever seen. Most of those women have fathers who had to sign off on what they were doing. Why is that?
Why do some men want their wives to go out wearing as little as is humanly possible?
I remember pulling off my girlfriends top in our parking lot in broad daylight. Anyone could have seen her tits. Some people driving by probably did. I do not know why I didn’t care. She was beautiful.
Perhaps, that is the reason. I think my daughter is beautiful and I don’t really mind if others see that as well. It doesn’t bother me.
My ex-wife is a nudist. I don’t care.
My daughter lives in a nudist colony. I don’t care.
Maybe, this is a topic that I just don’t really care about.
I just thought of a brilliant idea.

I think that any scientist working on the climate has preconceived notions. We may call that an agenda but I don’t think I’d go quite that far.
Climate warming or Global Warming is a dynamic issue for two reasons.
The planet’s weather system is dynamic. That means that it may be warm during the 1970s in summer time but much colder in the 2000s. What most reports leave out is the fact that while some place in the world is getting warmer there is also a place that is getting much colder. One pole is losing ice. Well, the other pole is gaining it.
Water levels rising is temporary and wouldn’t be the first time.
My personal feeling on these matters is that as humans, we have a complete misunderstanding of a much bigger picture that scientists simply cannot get their head around.

You certainly wouldn’t want your boss to see that you are looking at explicit photos while you are at work, would you? Normally, it isn’t even an issue. You generally don’t go through your work day looking at nude pictures, porn, or other such things.

While I was waiting for my ride to work yesterday, I was in a really bad position. I had to stand at the door and look out for my ride to show up so I couldn’t really go anywhere. It was too cold to just stand outside and wait or I would have.
Another person in my house came down stairs and sat in the kitchen with his phone on speaker talking to another person about…wait for it…you guessed it. Fucking politics.
If the door would have been made of glass, I would have thrown myself through it. It would have been a more pleasant experience.
The very definition of hell for me is being forced to listen to anyone talk about politics. I went into work feeling dirty after that.

I used to hate the idea of pink anything. I didn’t even want to be near it.
As I am getting older, I am finding that not to be as true as it once was.
I saw that they had a pink robe on Amazon for a guy and I almost considered it.
Times, they are a changing.
I’ve never understood the logic behind the statement “If you don’t vote, you are throwing your vote away.” I think it is utter nonsense. If I have a stone in my hand and I don’t throw it, how could I possibly have thrown it away?
There are some people that make me angry. I’m not sure why I harbor such anger for them. I can’t honestly say that it is justified. I generally like everyone so when an odd occurrence like this happens, I need to step back and try to figure out what the underlying issue is.
In the case of the female downstairs right now, I am pretty sure I know why she makes me angry. She constantly complains about her life and continuously asks for advice. Normally, you’d think that would be a good thing. The problem is that she never takes the advice. She knows how everything works. She knows her life is broken. She doesn’t know how to fix it. When you try to tell her how to fix it, well — see previous “She knows how everything works.”
I came to a point in my life where I knew that drinking beer every night and taking PMs to fall asleep was a serious problem. It is a problem I recognized and then corrected. I no longer drink beer and I no longer require PMs to put me to sleep. There are some other things I cut out but the point is that I acted. I took action to correct the problems. I took advice. I tried to make the appropriate changes.
Hyrum Smith (founder of the Franklin Planner system) once said that the difference between success and non-success is easily defined by “the successful person is willing to do that which the unsuccessful person is unwilling to do.” I love the lecture he gave where this comes from. Truly inspiring. Ok. Now, back to the anger.
I have friends that are constantly adjusting their lives to try and find that happy place. One of my friends even has a husband that thinks his happiness is based on buying a new pickup truck. If he could only have this one “thing” he just knows he’ll be happy. The problem is that is never happens. He is just left with emptiness and a need for self validation in many different forms. If I remember correctly, he also equates sex with love. If his wife doesn’t have sex with him, she doesn’t love him. Sometimes I think I should have been a head shrinker. I actually enjoy analyzing people. That isn’t the same as people watching.
People watching is finding amusement in the behavior of others. Analyzing is when you try to figure out their story. What drives them? Why don’t they look happy? Is the couple you are admiring having an affair or are they married to each other? Those are easy to figure out.
I may have to write another article about my opinions about marriage. I have no love for that institution and have solid reasons why not.
See? I feel better just writing this crap out. Now, if the female downstairs would just leave then everything will be just fine for the rest of the evening. Two words for her. Get. Out.
Update: The point of this post. The point of this post is that I am angry at the woman downstairs because she takes advantage of my friend. That is why she makes me angry.
The sheer number of cars that pass my house on a daily basis is staggering. Most of them are relatively quiet but a bunch of them are downright loud.
Whether the noise is the engine or the loud music playing in the car the decibel meter gets pegged.
I have a problem with this when that noise makes it into my house. I don’t have single pane glass windows. I have triple pane windows and the noise still gets in. There was a car that passed by this morning with music so loud, you’d swear I was playing it myself inside my house.

When I was 16, noisy cars were cool. Now that I am older, noisy cars make me dream of a personal EMP gun that you can aim at a vehicle and well, it dies. Something like this but bigger.

ST. JOHNS, Mich. (AP) — A couple who came under attack for displaying the Norwegian flag outside their mid-Michigan inn because some observers mistook it for a Confederate flag have found another way to show their Scandinavian pride.
Greg and Kjersten Offenbecker, who own The Nordic Pineapple in St. Johns, outside Lansing, took Norway’s flag down last month after being accused of promoting racism, the Lansing State Journal reported. They are replacing it with a vimple, a type of long, pennant-shaped flag that can be seen displaying various designs across Scandinavia. The Offenbecker’s vimple will have the colors of the Norwegian flag — a red background with a blue cross superimposed on a white cross — in a nod to Kjersten Offenbecker’s grandfather who was born in Norway.
The colors of the Norwegian flag are similar to the Confederate flag, but the patterns and symbols are different. The Confederate flag is red with a blue “X” containing white stars.
The two aren’t even remotely the same. For people to get upset about something because they don’t understand it is bad enough. I think to get upset because you can’t be bothered to do any type of research shows just how much your 2nd grade education failed you.
You probably shouldn’t have dropped out of the 2nd grade.
Like it or not, the confederate flag is a part of our history. It represents a bad time in American history but that doesn’t mean that you need to remove it from the current culture just because it makes you pee your pants. What’s that? It doesn’t make you pee your pants? Then WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR MALFUNCTION?
If you have an update on an Apple MacBook Pro, you’ll get a notification. You can then update at your leisure. Only on a critical software patch will Apple ever “force” an update on you.
On the other hand, Microsoft does not. They FORCE updates on you constantly and even when they are not critical patches or updates. I needed to quickly get into my Windows 10 virtual machine the other morning only to find this…
This makes the update experience on Microsoft software so painful and sometimes a serious problem. There are critical times where you need to be able to get into your machine in a hurry. Microsoft would rather stand in the way. This is not a good user experience for anyone.

I appreciate the sentiment but it would be more accurate of them to say Today would have been Steve’s 57th birthday. That is factually accurate.
I do miss him. He was a one of a kind awesome guy who should have gotten a longer ride on the life train.

Ben Affleck is hanging up the cape, according to a report that the actor is leaving the Batman franchise.

Affleck’s exit comes on the heels of another departure from the DC universe, according to The Hollywood Reporter, which claims Henry Cavill will no longer be Superman.
Changing actors so often has become tiresome for movie goers. I just got used to these characters being portrayed by these actors. DC can’t even have the same actor that works on a television show play in their movies. Look at The Flash for example — played by two different actors in two very different ways. Grant Gustin’s television version isn’t the same as Ezra Miller’s version in Justice League.
